General Survey

Question: How many of your employees or volunteers are members of the LGBTQ+ community?

Answer: 0%

Question: Are your leadership, human resources, employees, or volunteers provided or required to utilize LGBTQ-specific training or educational content each year?

Answer: Yes. As an interior designer whose work centers women (including LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary individuals who resonate with my brand), I ensure that my business is a welcoming and inclusive space for all, including LGBTQ+ women and families. Each year, I engage in LGBTQ+-specific training, such as Safe Space & Allyship programs and gender-inclusive language workshops. This commitment helps ensure that my clients feel seen, respected, and celebrated in the spaces I design.

Question: How often do you believe your leadership, human resources, employees, or volunteers utilize LGBTQ-specific training or educational content each year?

Answer: As the owner and lead designer of my business, I make it a priority to engage with LGBTQ+-specific training and educational content at least once per year. This includes formal trainings like Safe Space & Allyship workshops, as well as ongoing education through industry resources, webinars, and advocacy organizations. By staying informed, I ensure that my business remains a welcoming and inclusive space for all clients.

Question: Do you feel that your policies and procedures cover LGBTQ-specific needs for all of your employees, staff, and volunteers?

Answer: Yes. As a small business owner, I don’t have employees or volunteers, but I ensure that my business practices align with LGBTQ+ inclusivity. If I expans my team in the future, I will write clear policies to support LGBTQ+ individuals, including using inclusive language, respecting pronouns, and ensuring a discrimination-free workplace. When I collaborate with vendors, contractors, and clients, I prioritize working with those who share these values. I see my commitment to inclusivity as an ongoing process, and I will continue to educate myself to ensure my business is a welcoming and affirming space.

Question: Do you feel that your policies and procedures cover LGBTQ-specific needs for your those who rely on your service?

Answer: Yes. The Styled Domicile is designed to serve women, including LGBTQ+ women, in a way that makes them feel seen, respected, and celebrated. It's important to me that my language, design approach, and client experience are inclusive and I strive to avoid heteronormative assumptions, respect pronouns, and create spaces that reflect each client's unique personality and identity. My goal is for every client—regardless of their background, family structure, or identity—to feel at home in the spaces I design.

Question: How well do you feel that you and your staff are doing at creating an accepting and affirming presence for the LGBTQ+ community?

Answer: As a small business owner, I am proud to create an accepting and affirming presence for all of my clients, including LGBTQ+ women. My language, design approach, and interactions are inclusive and welcoming. I think I’mdoing well in fostering a space where all women feel seen and respected, but I also know that inclusivity is an ongoing commitment. I will continue to educate myself through LGBTQ+ resources, training, and conversations to ensure my business remains a place where every client feels truly at home.
