DESCRIPTION

Sarah Wood Communication is a boutique communication agency dedicated to helping illuminate your organization’s work and share its stories with targeted audiences by providing customized communication strategies and services. We provide corporate communication services for purpose-driven organizations who are helping make the world a better, safer, healthier, and more equitable place for us all. We are dedicated to helping organizations more effectively share information about their work and accomplishments, while allowing them to focus on what they do best.

Answer: It is recommended, but not required.


Question: How often do you require or recommend LGBTQ+ inclusive training?

Answer: As a solopreneur, I am dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ clients and partner organizations, but do not have a specific timeline on when I recommend LGBTQ+ inclusive training

Answer: We have used references from LGBTQ+ organizations to build our policies and procedures.

Question: How do you create a positive space for the LGBTQ+ community?

Answer: Sarah Wood Communication follows anti-discrimination, anti-violence, and anti-harassment policies. In addition to being professional, friendly, non-hostile, and open to all people, I keep a rainbow that one of my children made for me as part of the visible background during video calls as a subtle sign of support and inclusivity with LGBTQ+ individuals who I may be interacting with.

Answer: N/A; Sarah Wood Communication is currently a one-woman shop


Question: How do you try to create a queer-inclusive business space?

Answer: Sarah Wood Communication has anti-discrimination, anti-violence, anti-harassment, and confidentiality policies. In addition, we aim to provide a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive environment for all. I keep a rainbow, made by one of my children, in the background of my video calls as a subtle sign of inclusivity and support for LGBTQ+ individuals.

Answer: Sarah Wood Communication does not have a physical location accessible to clients. However, we have anti-discrimination, anti-violence, anti-harassment, and confidentiality policies. In addition, we are dedicated to using the names and pronouns that our clients prefer and making their experience with us welcoming, inclusive, and one that helps them successfully communicate with their targeted audiences.
