DESCRIPTION
At Black Hoof, we brew a variety of beers with an emphasis on traditional, true-to-style German lagers and European ales. Our tap lineup is constantly changing and evolving to include beers for each holiday and season. We offer a warm, welcoming taproom, delicious brews, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Answer: Several
Question: Are your leadership, human resources, employees, or volunteers provided or required to utilize LGBTQ-specific training or educational content each year?
Answer: It is not required, but leadership has attended LGBTQ-specific training led by Equality Loudoun at Leesburg United Methodist Church as part of our Reconciling Ministries group.

Answer: At least twice a year.
Question: Do you feel that your policies and procedures cover LGBTQ-specific needs for all of your employees, staff, and volunteers?
Answer: Yes, we have incorporated a commitment to inclusion in our company’s policies and vision statement. As part of our onboarding process, we emphasize to employees our commitment to welcoming and affirmation.

Answer: Yes, we have incorporated a commitment to inclusion in our company’s policies and vision statement. As part of our onboarding process, we emphasize to employees our commitment to welcoming and affirmation.
Question: How well do you feel that you and your staff are doing at creating an accepting and affirming presence for the LGBTQ+ community?
Answer: Our staff are committed to welcoming and affirming all guests. We host drag events monthly that are specifically positive for the LGBTQ+ community.

Question: Is your business currently affiliated with any LGBTQ+ organizations? If so, which ones?
Answer: We have supported Equality Loudoun as a Pride Beer Garden partner each year since its inception and host annual events to support Equality Loudoun at our brewery taproom.
Question: Has your business ever donated to or partnered with any organization(s)? If so, which ones?
Answer: Several including Equality Loudoun, Team Matthias (children’s cancer research), Toys for Tots, and several other organizations that support education and veterans.
Question: Would you be interested in participating in LGBTQ+ training provided by Equality Loudoun in the future?
Answer: Yes.
Question: How do you make sure you are employing a diverse group of people that are qualified for the job?
Answer: We seek to promote diversity in our hiring, but do not have specific quotas or outreach.
Question: What are you doing to make your business a safe space in the community for LGBTQ+ people?
Answer: Our staff members have all been involved in our LGBTQ+ friendly events and understand our position to promote inclusivity.
Question: Do you provide all-gendered/non-gendered/unisex restrooms or have a trans-inclusive bathroom policy at your place of business?
Answer: We would like to learn more about incorporating queer-inclusive policies as our organization grows. We have two single restrooms that are open to and used by all genders.
