LGBTQ+ Educational Program
Equality Loudoun works with volunteers and contracted partners to provide LGBTQ+ related trainings that benefit members of the community. All trainings, trainers, and partner organizations are thoroughly evaluated and vetted for affirming and accepting practices.
Monthly LGBTQ+ Inclusion Training
Our volunteers provide a once-per-month training at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This introduction to the world of LGBTQ+ terminology, inclusive practices, and understanding is ideal for anyone feeling confused by all the flags and words that they may be unfamiliar with. Our team works to explain the difference between gender identity, gender expression, sexual attraction, romantic attraction, and biological sex. We will walk together through all the letters represented in LGBTQIA+ and beyond. And we'll cover basics of pronoun usage, FAQS, and understanding the perspective of your queer peers and family.
